Frequently Asked Questions

1. How many participants enter the run?

Usually over 550 participants enter

2. Is the run very competitive?

We have serious runners who use the run as part of an annual training and improvement event but we also have people who are running for the first time and others who run just for fun. We are very much a participative event

3. Is the event timed?

The event is professionally timed.

4. Can I run with a pram?

We have runners who have done the event with a pram. Part of the event is on sand but it is possible.

5. When will the results be known?

Winners of categories are known at presentation (around 9am) and the results are posted on this website on the day of the run.

6. I have registered but not received a registration number.

Registration emails will be sent out during September. If you have not heard back by the end of the first week in October please email byronrun@gmail.com and let the organisers know.

7. Will it be a problem if I forget my registration number?

We have helpers to assist on the morning with registration numbers. To make processing so many participants quicker it is easier to register by number, but we will help you if you forget.

8. I have a registration email from the organisers but some detail, either my name or date of birth or category is wrong.

In this case please email byronrun@gmail.com and let us know so we can correct it.

9. Will photographs be taken of the event?

We do take photos but it is not a professional photographer. Photos are posted on facebook and Media is present at the event as well.

10. I would like to support the event by contributing a prize

11. I am able to volunteer on the day to help.

The event is totally manned by volunteers. Email us to let us know what you can do to help. byronrun@gmail.com

12. Can I use an Ipod when running

Yes.
